Yachtmaster Prep is a one week course designed for experienced yachtsmen and women, with sufficient nautical miles (2500) to qualify for the Yachtmaster exam, but needing to brush up on their skills to ensure that they comply with the RYA way of doing things. This is an intensive course which will challenge you by sailing onto and off marina pontoons and mooring buoys, sail trim for simulated engine and steering failures, man overboard, blind navigation, mooring up in tight spots and anchoring under sail.
Regardless of your experience, you should have completed the RYA syllabus for Coastal Skipper Theory and Practical within the last 3 years to be sure that your skills are current.
The exam fee is £244 payable on the RYA website.
